These are sold to reseal a crown top beer bottle. As I never leave an unfinished bottle of beer once it has been opened, I have never used these for their intended purpose. I do however find that they are perfect to store empty bottles, with a small quantity of sulphite solution in the bottom, as this keeps them fresh.

Colt Capper

The Colt Capper is a height adjustable, steel bodied bench capper. To use it simply raise the handle, pull back the red trigger to allow the movable head to be set to the right height for your bottles and then release the trigger to lock the head firmly in place. The capper is now ready to be used to seal crown cap bottles, which it does effectively with the minimum of exertion, accommodating bottles from 3" to 14"in height.
