Vinometer - Basic Model
£3.75More information
This simple and inexpensive device determines the approximate alcohol content of clear, finished dry wine.
All you need to do is to hold the vinometer upright and pour a little wine into the funnel at the top. As soon as wine starts to appear at the bottom of the stem, ensure that there are no gas bubbles in the tube, and then turn the vinometer upside down. The wine will run back down the tube, and the alcohol level of the wine can be read directly off the graduated scale on the glass stem where the wine's top surface stops. This is an inexpensive and simple tool that will enable winemakers to check the alcohol level in their wines. -
