Cornelius Keg 19 litre - reconditioned and adapted
£65.00
We believe that these Cornelius kegs are by far the best vessels available for dispensing home brewed beer.
They are constructed from stainless steel and being former Pepsi containers have an internal pressure rating of 100 psi.
They are fully re-conditioned with new seals in place where necessary & tested.
'Quick disconnects' will be needed to ensure that connections can be made quickly and easily even with the system pressurised.
Beer must be racked into these kegs 'bright' and we recommend that the beer is racked from the primary fermenter to a secondary fermenter fitted with an airlock, that the beer is then fined and is only kegged when it is star bright, usually two days after fining.
It can then be carbonated by means of a CO2 bottle, avoiding all sediment problems.
The sealing plate has been fitted with a threaded brass S30 valve which enables gas to be injected into the keg using a suitable Hambleton Bard style gas cylinder.
Both inlet or outlet disconnects are additionally available.
