Liqueur and Spirit Making
These kits produce 6 bottles of spirit with up to 21% ABV by natural fermentation.
You could almost feel sorry for the Chancellor as he is missing out on the excise duty, which for spirits is currently about £6.70 a bottle, £40.20p for six.
Well almost!
Tip: when fermenting these kits, please keep the fermentation temperature at the lower end of the recommended scale.

Brandy
£14.75
The kits in this range produce 4.5 litres (6 bottles) of 'spirit' at a strength of approximately 21% ABV.
Each requires an additional 1600 grams of granulated white sugar or brewing sugar.
In producing this level of alcohol by fermentation the yeast is being pushed to the top end of its natural alcohol producing capabilities.
To enable it to do this IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE TEMPERATURE OF THE FERMENATION IS KEPT CONSTANTLY WITHIN THE RANGE OF 18-22°C - preferably toward the lower end of the temperature range.

Brewing & Winemaking Sugar - 1kg

This will produce a finer, cleaner & faster ferment.
The sugar is a spray dried glucose (aka dextrose) which dissolves easily in cold liquids to form a syrup and importantly leaves no after taste.
Being 100% fermentable, it promotes fast fermentation & can be used for priming during the secondary fermentation.
It is is highly recommended for use in making beers, liqueurs and wines in preference to household sugar.
Well worth the extra pence per pint or bottle.
