Hard liquorice sticks which make a great addition to stouts and porters as proved by home beer makers for many years and more recently by Brewdog / Stone Breweries in their Luciferin Golden Imperial Oatmeal Stout.
Chop, boil, reduce, cool & add to fermentation.
Degree of addition dependent on desired strength of taste.
Weight varies but is likely to be between 20 and 25 grams.
