Cross Beam Press - 12 litre
£285.00
We bought one of these presses over 20 years ago and it is still going strong having produced many hundreds of gallons of juice.
The cross beam arrangement is by far the most versatile & allows us to fit the associated crusher over the cage of the press, and this combination produces about 3-4 gallons of juice from three pressings in an hour.
This is our best selling press, often bought with the accompanying crusher. It has a cast iron base, legs and crossbeam, with an oak slatted cage bound with steel hoops and a steamed beech pressing plate.
It is designed to get through good volumes of fruit with the minimum of effort & the maximum of juice.
Fresh juice pasteurised will be keep & provides a delicious variant to fermentation.
Height 60cm, base diameter 42 cm Weight 25kg.

Crusher to fit 12 litre press
£245.00More detail and information
If the pressure plate of the 12 litre Cross Beam Press is swung to one side and lowered just a few turns, the oak supporting frame of this crusher fits neatly over the cage.
Small fruits can be processed whole, but large apples and pears may need to be roughly chopped into quarters before feeding into the stainless steel hopper.
Contra-rotating blades driven by the cast iron flywheel then crush the fruit which falls through into the cage of the press.
When this is full, simply remove the crusher, swing the Cross Beam Press pressure plate back, tighten down the wing nut and press the juice out.
The ideal combination to lessen the hard work of juice extraction & get through any volume.
Fresh juice pasteurised is also both most delicious & will keep.
Length 58cm, width 35cm, weight 8.5kg, hopper 30cm by 33cm.
