Wort Aerator
£23.50
A complete kit with electric air pump (220-240V), ceramic stone, sterile 0.2 micron air filter and 2 metres of tubing.
The air output from the pump is 60 litres per hour.
Aerating a cooled wort, (20 -25°C) for about 30 minutes just prior to or just after pitching the yeast will help the yeast get off to a good start, but never aerate either a hot wort or one that is already fermenting.

Wort Aerator - Sintered Stainless Steel Airstones
£12.50More detail and information
This airstone is ideal for aerating wort to ensure a quick start to fermentation.
It is made from sintered stainless steel with 0.2 or 0.5 micron holes and has an 6mm barbed hose fitting.
The 0.5 micron has traditionally had greater utilisation.
It's overall length is 4.7cm and the diameter is 1.3cm.
The best way to sterilise this would be to place it in boiling water for 15 minutes.
It is recommended that the sintered part is not touched as the natural oil on hands can clog the very fine pores.
All dimensions are approximate. -
Vented Slicone Stopper
£1.00More detail and information
The Vented Silicone Stopper works as both a stopper and an airlock and is ideal for use with the wort aerator.
Its four vents and pliable seal allow CO2 to escape but prevent any liquid being sucked back from an airlock as the wort cools with the consequent entry of both oxygen and airborne contaminants.
The diameter is 28mm at the bottom of the taper, 33mm at the top of the taper and 37mm at the flanged top.
