Fermenter Handle Red

Red, bolt-on handles made of vinyl-covered, plated steel with a bolt and wing nut.
These fasten over the necks of both sizes of Better-Bottle carboys & the 5 gallon PET Plastic & straight sided glass carboys.
The Red handles do not get in the way of fermentation locks and, as they are bolted firmly to the neck of the carboy, they can safely be used to lift these even at an angle.

A 23 litre (5 UK gallon) fermenter produced from a special clear, stain odour and taste resistant PET.
It also has low oxygen permeability which greatly reduces the risk of oxidation.
To minimise the possibility of distortion it is recommended that luke warm rather than boiling water be poured into this delicate fermenter.
The maximum diameter is 28cm and the overall height is 49cm. -

An Italian made 23 litre capacity straight sided glass carboy.
There really is no substitute for the inertness of glass & is what we use & can recommend.
Advice:place the carboy on a soft/cushioned surface.
The neck diameter is slightly wider than that of a demijohn so that standard cork or rubber bungs fit too low.
The 31 x 37 drilled rubber stopper (as below) is a much better fit.
As with all shipped glassware whilst we take every precaution to ensure that it is safely packed the general caveat of no warranty for sound arrival applies - in the rare event of an en route mishap.
