Beer Making
Malt extract is sold in both liquid (syrup) and powdered forms. The syrups are approximately 20 percent water, so 2kg of Dry Malt Extract (DME) is roughly equal to 2.5 kg of Liquid Malt Extract (LME).
DME is produced by heating the liquid extract and spraying it from an atomizer in a heated chamber. Strong air currents keep the droplets suspended until they dry and settle to the floor.

£3.75
Munton's Spraymalts are made using only the finest premium malts, spray-dried into a fine soluble powder. This process is designed to retain all of the malt flavour, without imparting any burnt or off flavours. Spraymalts are ideal additions to any recipe, adding extra malt sugars and a delicious malt flavour.
The Hopped Light adds extra hops as well as more malt and is perfect as a general kit improver. It is specifically designed to retain the beer's natural balance.
The Extra Light adds extra body and richness whilst adding the minimum of colour, making this perfect for brewing the palest lagers.
The Light again adds extra body and richness and is especially useful when brewing lagers and pilsners.
The Medium gives a rich malt flavour and is ideal for bitters. It boosts the beers' natural body and at the same time gives a more rounded, mellow note to the beer.
The Dark makes a superb addition to any Stout, Porter or Brown Ale. Dark Spraymalt will improve the body, adding extra rich malt flavour and natural colour.
The Extra Dark is an essential addition to any Stout. Extra Dark Spraymalt will improve the dry bitterness and colour as well as adding body to your beer.
The Wheat is made from a blend of 55% Wheat Malt and 45% Barley Malt, this is great for improving the head formation and retention in beer. In small quantities it does not alter the beer's flavour, and the entire 500g pack can be used in a 5 gallon brew.
